The Cumberland House is a Hilton hotel in Knoxville, located at the border between the campus of the University of Tennessee and the “downtown” part of downtown Knoxville.
Knoxville’s Downtown and University Hotel
The Cumberland House is just west of World’s Fair Park and across the street from the World’s Fair Park Performance Lawn. While it does occasionally host some musical performances, the lawn is best known as the home of some of the city’s most popular festivals in the spring and autumn.
The hotel does split the difference between a downtown hotel and a University of Tennessee hotel. It’s at the eastern edge of the University Campus, with walking distances to Neyland Stadium and Thompson-Boling Arena of 0.5 miles and 0.8 miles, respectively. The Knoxville Convention Center is on the opposite side of World’s Fair Park, about a 10 minute walk from the Cumberland House.

Guest Rooms, Suites and Tussie Mussie Adjacent To World’s Fair Park
The Cumberland House is part of Hilton’s Tapestry collection and has 130 guest rooms and suites in its seven floors. The standard guest rooms come in configurations with either one King or two Queen beds. The suites are slightly larger and have separate sleeping and sitting areas. The hotel includes a fitness center, an 1,848 square foot ballroom, two smaller reception rooms and a boardroom. On-site dining is offered at the restaurant Tussie Mussie. Yes, we said “Tussie Mussie”.
Located at the corner of 11th Street and White Avenue, the hotel is 2-3 minutes south of the big Henley Street/I-40/I-275 interchange. Valet parking is available.
