Marriott Knoxville Downtown

The Marriott Knoxville Downtown is in the perfect spot if you’re headed to the city’s largest event and meeting space. Located on the west side of downtown Knoxville, it’s connected to the World’s Fair Exhibition Hall and is across the street from the Knoxville Convention Center.

Knoxville’s “Near Everything” Hotel

Built at the corner of Henley Street and Clinch Avenue, this 302 room hotel is about as centrally located as you can get in Knoxville. All of the attractions in and around World’s Fair Park are steps away from the front door of the Marriott. The convention center, the exhibition hall, the Sunsphere, the Tennessee Amphitheater and the Knoxville Museum of Art are all less than a quarter-mile from the front door of the hotel. Being on the west side of downtown means the Marriott is one of the “downtown” hotels closest to the campus of the University of Tennessee, which begins just across World’s Fair Park.

At the same time, the Marriott is still within a short walk of the restaurants, shopping and other attractions of central downtown. It’s a 10-minute walk to Market Square or the Tennessee Theatre.

Knoxville Convention, Meeting and Event Hotel

The 302 rooms of the Marriott Knoxville Downtown each have floor-to-ceiling windows that either look toward downtown or overlook World’s Fair Park. If your walks around Knoxville aren’t enough exercise, the hotel has a fully-equipped fitness center. It’s one of the top spots for conventions and other events with a connection to the World’s Fair Exhibition Hall, the Knoxville Convention Center across the street and over 17,000 square feet of its own event space for meetings, weddings and other celebrations.

The on-site restaurant at the Marriott is the Tavern at Maker Exchange. It offers breakfast and lunch on weekdays, dinner seven days a week and brunch on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to being the closest place to grab something to eat, the Maker Exchange hosts an interesting collection of works by eastern Tennessee’s top artists and craftspeople. And it’s free to view every day.

The hotel offers parking for a daily fee, but you can also choose to park at the city’s Locust Street garage, located one block east of the hotel on Clinch Avenue.
